Skoolist covers IPSS institutions providing nursery, kindergarten, or after-school care as part of the national education index. IPSS institutions retain permanent free access to profile editing.
Claim the institutional profileWhat's visible and how it changes
Every IPSS with childcare provision has a public profile on Skoolist. The initial information is aggregated from official sources and the contact data registered with them.
Once the profile is claimed, the institution controls the visible information directly: address, available services, opening hours, subsidised fee, institutional contact. Changes appear on the public profile without editorial approval.
Information requests from families who choose to contact via Skoolist arrive at the registered institutional email, with the child's basic data (age, intended academic year) and family details. The institution responds directly from its own email.
Why the profile is free
The Skoolist subscription model is designed for private education establishments. IPSS institutions, operating under cooperation agreements with the Institute of Social Security, retain permanent free access. There is no paid plan for IPSS and none is planned.
How to claim the profile
The process takes two to three minutes.
- 1.Search for the institution at skoolist.pt/search by name or location
- 2.Click "Claim profile" on the public listing
- 3.Confirm identity via the institutional email
Automated verification uses the institutional email domain. In case of mismatch, the Skoolist team reviews manually within two business days.

Most IPSS institutions with childcare provision are indexed. If the institution doesn't appear, write to [email protected] with the official name and address. Manual addition takes one to two business days.
